![]() ![]() You can't actually be unaware that most PVP-only games end up like Evolve and and Dirty Bomb, both of which had far more publicity behind them than this. On the other hand, games with PVE content playable offline work just as well today as they did when you bought them (unless they have DRM that is.) Even huge games launched by major studios rarely escape this fate. If you can't play the game without an internet connection, it's usually only a matter of time til they kill the servers. If you can't play the game unless other people are playing, it's usually only a matter of time til the game enters a death spiral. On a dragon-related note, the live-service Dragons and Titans is now unplayable too.Ī few PVP games survive but most are dead within a year or two. the PVP-only Lawbreakers would be more successful. I myself was personally burned by Ghost in the Shell Standalone complex which died when the publisher ditched in in the hopes that. yeah, wonder how long it will last, not like there are many PvP-only games that exist today with strong community bases stretching back many many years. *Looks at League of Legends, Fortnite, and the plethora of other PvP-Only live service games that are still beating strong today* How is it sarcasm to point out that real game with offline content last longer than PVP-only live service games that are only playable when a LOT of other people are playing them at the same time? ![]()
